Hey Soul Sista's!!

Alright, this challenge is on like Donkey Kong. The Sassy Soul Sista' Size-Down starts on September 14th (MONDAY!) and ends on the day before Christmas Eve. It will be a total of 14 weeks (the last week is a little bit short, but there's no way I'm not eating treats over Christmas). We're all Sassy Sista's....let the Size Down begin!


Rules

1. Each person puts in $10. The one with the most points at the end takes the pot, if there is a tie it will be divided equally amongst the winners.

2. BE HONEST...we're all family (and good friends)...we'll still love you if you eat treats, don't exercise, and don't make your bed, but you'll love yourself more if you do it. So don't lie :)

3. Keep track of your points--you can earn up to 5 points each day, 35 points per week. How you earn points:
1. Get 7 hours of sleep= 1 point
2. Be active = 1 point each day...Note: To get your 7 active points for the week, 5 points must be exercising for at least 30 minutes, and the other 2 points you get from doing something fun and going to church.
EXAMPLE
Exercise 5 days (M-F) - 5 points
Do something fun (Sat) - 1 point
Go to church (Sun) - 1 point
3. Make your bed every day = 1 point
4. Good Eating Day= 1 point
We all can define what this is for each of us, but we must disclose what it is before the contest starts. So we are all on the same page we will have this baseline.
We all will be allowed one treat per week. What is a treat....this is a big question? A treat is anything you know is not good for you (Brownies, cookies, regular soda pop, diet is ok, chips is one that is border line....I think baked are ok in moderation, regular are not.. Use your best judgement) So one day you can have a treat and still get a point. All the rest of the days there will be no treats. Treat point breakdown will be as follows:
No treats = 1 point
1 treat (palm size)= 0 points (except the one day that 1 treat is allowed...you choose the day)
Garbage out (more than 1 palm size treat)= -1 point
Note: if you happen to garbage out you not do not earn your point for the day, you also lose a point(that's why it shows -1). So if you got all other points (exercise, bed, sleep, personal goal), you would have 3 points not 5 points. Just a clarification.
5. Personal Goal= 1 point
This can be anything, but it must be MEASURABLE. Examples are drinking 64 oz of water each day, getting 5 veggies per day, reading scriptures, jogging so many times per week, writing everything down you eat on Daily Plate, etc.

4. Post your points every Monday by 5:00 Mountain time. Posting on time= 1 bonus point per week

5. Be ready to let that Sassy Soul Sista' in you SIZE DOWN!

Before the size-down begins everyone must post an entry that tells about you and why you joined the Sassy Sista contest, your definition of a good eating day, and let us know your personal goal (this just helps you to be accountable and so we can encourage you along the way).

  2. I too am joining soul sistas to help motivate my self to keep a healthy productive schedule. I am a new stay at home mom and I need to discipline my self to keep good habits.
